Do you want to make a real difference to Buxton? The Buxton Town Protectors Award is here to celebrate young people who help make our town a better place. Whether it’s planting flowers, cleaning up litter, or creating amazing art from recycled materials, your efforts deserve to be recognised.  

 

How does it work?

It’s simple! Young people (through schools, youth groups, or as individuals) can take part in a whole range of volunteer projects that benefit the community. Once completed, you’ll earn a special Buxton Town Protectors badge and certificate to show off your achievement.

Why take part?

Becoming a Buxton Town Protector has lots of advantages... It means you can learn new skills and meet new friends... It's a way of showing future schools and employers that you care about your community... And you can  have fun while also helping to make our home town a better place.​

What do you have to do?

1. Sign up your project – simply download the form (see below) and fill in the details of what you plan to do. Projects can be something well-known, such as litter-picking, or something completely different that you think would improve our town. Once completed, email the form to us and wait for the thumbs-up.

2. Complete your project – once you have the go-ahead, get out there and have fun with your project, making a difference with your group of friends or family.

3. Earn your award – when your project is complete, send us a report and photos, showing what you've done. Then, in addition to the satisfaction of helping to make our town a better place, you'll also receive a Buxton Town Protectors badge and certificate.
