It’s not all about the competitions by any means – we had a lot of fun with the flowerpot people, sorting out the planters behind Waitrose, regenerating Ashwood Park, clearing years of sapling growth at the railway station, to name but a few. But for the record, the winners were …

Buxton was awarded Silver Gilt, with 153 points, made up of:
Section A (Horticultural Excellence)  79

Section C (Community Involvement)  37
Friends of Buxton Station was given a Special Judges’ Award
